Casa de Cecillia is a large 5 bedroomed holiday home and recently refurbished. Although in a tranquil rural location it is still close to the city of Porto and quiet beaches.
The property is set amid a working vineyard with splendid views across the Vizela valley, an ideal base for touring the region. Cecillia has been in the Simoes family for centuries and Sr. Luis, the current custodian, has spared neither his time nor expense in creating a perfect blend of state of the art fittings with beautiful antique furniture and decorative pieces. With a seperate annexe this property is ideal for families with older children who want to start to experience a little independence or grandparents wanting some privacy from the rest of the family. The annexe is accessed via a courtyard next to the main house.
Casa de Cecillia is 8 km from Felgueiras and the nearest village is 3 km away.
This is a two storey property. On the first floor guests will find a master double bedroom with large en-suite spa bathroom; a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom; twin bedroom with doors leading to a wood panelled sitting and TV room; a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom; and a seperate bathroom. On the ground floor is a beautifully panelled entrance leading to a spacious living/dining room with modern open fire and French windows overlooking the pool and gardens. To keep you entertained there is a games room with snooker table and card table. Finally the ground floor boasts a well equipped and fully fitted kitchen leading to a utility area and shower room. The annexe is set on one floor with a double bedroom, seperate lounge and full bathroom.
Sport / Leisure
If you prefer to relax around the villa rather than explore the surrounding countryside you will find a large pool (15m x 5.5m, .85m to 2.85m deep) which is set in a lawn surrounded by mature shrubs with views over the valley. There is a pool side cloakroom and shower. In the gardens there is also a covered barbecue area with a traditional bread oven. As you will note from the photos, the grounds are extensive and have a wine tasting area, lemon and orange groves and a rambling arboretum providing a scented and shaded distraction.
